AKONGUASUA (Ah·kohn'·gwah - soo· eeh'·ah) is the central institution of learning within Aakhuamuman Amaruka Atifi Mu, Akwamu Nation in North America. AKONGUASUA is a combination of the Twi-Akan terms Akongua and sua. The term Akongua is a descriptive form of the term gua (adwa), both meaning seat, chair, throne. Sua means to learn, to study. Together, AKONGUASUA describes the nature of our institution being that of learning from the Ancestral seat.
In Akan culture the gua or akongua represents the shared cultural values and spirit of the nation. The heads of families, villages, towns, states and confederations enshrine their authority to guide and govern in the akongua upon which they sit. It ultimately becomes an Ancestral shrine, linking the members of the civilization to the Nananom Nsamanfo, the Honored Ancestresses and Ancestors. The akongua thereby avails us of the accumulated wisdom of over 1,000,000 generations of Earthly experience, and proper guidance for our lives rooted in that experience.
AKONGUASUA as an institution began in 13001 (2001) in Chicago. We later relocated to Washington, DC in 13009 (2009). All of our books, articles, broadcasts, trainings, workshops and our entrepreneurial program are born of AKONGUASUA and are a product of the work we have been doing within the oman(nation/community) for free since 13001 (2001).
The basis of the instruction within AKONGUASUA can be found in our books, articles and services found on our www.odwirafo.com and www.sankofadwuma.com websites. We also have over 500 videos on youtube including archives from our blogtalkradio broadcasts: Odwirafo on Youtube

AKONGUASUA DAN

Our EGUA - Marketplace Broadcasts regarding the establishment of AKONGUASUA DAN
We have initiated a fund-raising campaign for the opening of AKONGUASUA DAN to serve as the new headquarters for AKONGUASUA. The term dan means a building or sanctuary. AKONGUASUA DAN will be the physical edifice housing our institution addressing the following three areas: Nkom(ritual observances, healing, communal observances), Adesua(Classes, Trainings, Workshops, Broadcasting, Lectures) and Nhoma ne Adwuma(Publishing, Distribution, Employment, Entrepreneurship). Our NANASOM University will be an extension of AKONGUASUA DAN and initially housed within the same facility. See our recent broadcasts regarding Nanasom University and Akonguasua Dan, PER ANKH: The House of Life -Institution of Learning and Healing in Ancient Kamit and Today and AKONGUASUA - Our Living Institution:
The opening of AKONGUASUA DAN we enable us to expand our services to the Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) community and thus educate and empower Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans) at a greater capacity.
Nkom Ritual, Healing and Community
We will hold all of our communal and ritual observances at AKONGUASUA DAN for the empowering and healing of the Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) oman(nation/community) inclusive of:
AKONGUASUA DAN will also function as a component of an Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) Homeschool Network - inclusive of educational programs for children and young adults during the week and on weekends.
Nhoma ne Adwuma Publishing, Distribution, Employment, Entrepreneurship
AKONGUASUA DAN will be the center of our publishing activities and distribution center for nokwarefo (distributors) of our publications. It will thus function as a center of employment and entrepreneurial opportunities and training for the Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) oman.
The fourth principle of Amansesew, Nationbuilding/Restoration as given to us by our Nananom Nsamanfo is the Institutionalization of our Values. This means institutions of learning, training, schooling, culture, religion, employment, entrepreneurship and more.
If you value the work we are doing and would like to contribute to the establishment of the AKONGUASUA DAN, an institution which will benefit those in the Washington, DC region as well as those of you who will participate in the institution via live streaming wherever you are in the world, you can do so by purchasing from our selection of 24 soft-cover books at our Nhoma page, by making akyede (donation) via paypal on the same page or through our www.fundrazr.com fundraising campaign.
We have many Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans~Black People) who are part of social media networks including our independent social media network ODWIRAMANSO - Purified Nation: www.odwiramanso.com. We are thus confident that we can meet our fundraising goal with contributions and purchases of our books by those of you who have benefited from our free publications and services and by those of you who are new to the publications and will benefit in the immediate future. Thus, anyone who makes a donation of $15 or more has the option of receiving one or more of our soft-cover books in return for your donation. In this manner all purchases and contributions towards the establishment of the AKONGUASUA DAN will yield an immediate benefit in addition to the benefit of the institution itself once open and operating.
Make your donation via our AKONGUASUA DAN - Institution campaign on www.fundrazr.com below. (We formerly used the gofundme platform, however, gofundme does not support paypal donations as an option while fundrazr.com does. You can also make a direct purchase of our books via our NHOMA - Publications link below:
There are numerous institutions reinforcing pseudo-religion, self-destructive ideas, misguided values, employment based on providing useless and/or dangerous products and services, etc. operating in our communities every day of the year. We must begin to establish institutions that reflect our values, further the healing of our people (physically/natural medicine and spiritually) and providing tangible resources (employment and entrepreneurial opportunities) that can be accessed immediately and perpetually. This institution will be the first of many branches that will open in cities across the united states and abroad wherever Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans) are in the world.
We must have a worldwide institution of learning, healing, training and employment rooted in Nanasom, Amammere and Amansesew - Afurakani/Afuraitkaitnit (African) Ancestral Religion, Culture and Nationbuilding/Restoration. It is now time to build and for Afurakanu/Afuraitkaitnut (Africans) worldwide to fully benefit.
Yeda ase (We thank you) for your recognizing the value of our work and for your support.
